Deuteronomy 32:4, NKJV

We worship a just God, and He is impartial in His judgment. No one can say that they are not deserving of God's judgment. This is a reality that we, as His creation, can walk in confidence knowing that His grace is not given because we deserve it, but because He, in His mercy, gives it out. This is why the cost for our salvation was paid through the sacrifice of Jesus, His Son, on the Cross. Our Lord took our sin upon Himself, all of our sins for all time. In His act of mercy, He gave us all salvation. God took the price of His moral and just law upon Himself. He did not ignore it, excuse it, or make a judgment based on partiality. Unlike many judges throughout the ages who impose tiered justice based on their biases, God does not. He is unchanging, and for this reason, we can confidently walk in His Word and know His peace.

Let us pray. I thank you, my heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ, your dear Son, that you have kept me this night from all harm and danger, and I ask you to protect me this day also from sin and every evil, that in all I do today, I may please you. For into your hands, I commend myself, my body and soul, and all that is mine. Let your holy angel watch over me, that the wicked foe have no power over me. Amen.
