“We are witnesses of all the things He did both in the land of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They also put Him to death by hanging Him on a cross.”….While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who were listening to the message.
Acts 10:39,44, NASB95
We all have a story to share. We can speak about our family and events that we experienced, but the most important story is our story of faith. Some may not feel that their story is exciting, but when we share our faith account whether it be about a life lived forever in faith, a life outside of Christ with a conversion, or a life lived in and out of faith it does not truly matter because your story through the Holy Spirit can be that catalyst that moves the Holy Spirit upon the hearts of others. The work of God in our lives is powerful, and we are called to share our testimonies with people about how and where God has worked in our lives. This is a part of our human experience as we encounter various people in our lives. Salvation is not an act we work, but an act which our Lord Jesus Christ works through us and our witnesses. We are His ambassadors and are called to bring His light to those who are walking in darkness. It is through our stories of faith that our Lord opens doors and enters into the hearts of those whom He seeks bringing them into His peace.
Let us pray. I thank you, my heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ, your dear Son, that you have kept me this night from all harm and danger, and I ask you to protect me this day also from sin and every evil, that in all I do today, I may please you. For into your hands, I commend myself, my body and soul, and all that is mine. Let your holy angel watch over me, that the wicked foe have no power over me. Amen.
