“Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea.”

Mark 9:42, MEV

Jesus came to be the bearer of peace and to lead those caught up in the world to His peace. Yet, we know the pitfalls that occur during our lives. Sometimes we become complacent in our faith and forget the importance of raising the next generation to live for the Lord. It is a helpless feeling when a young person turns away from Christ, and the ones who lead them will have their recompense coming, but our calling is to help our youth avoid being led astray. Giving them the tools to resist the temptations of this world and to be a continuous light to our Lord. Living in the promise of Christ, who we celebrate in the manger and lived and died to take our sin upon Himself. We prepare ourselves and our children in the faith to see the coming times when we will all be rejoined with Him while we live our lives in hope in the middle of struggle and sing His joyous hymns and praises when our hearts are heavy with grief. We stand as a firm wall against the crushing influences of our world and shine light on the path that leads us all to the eternal hope and peace of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Let us pray. I thank you, my heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ, your dear Son, that you have kept me this night from all harm and danger, and I ask you to protect me this day also from sin and every evil, that in all I do today, I may please you. For into your hands, I commend myself, my body and soul, and all that is mine. Let your holy angel watch over me, that the wicked foe have no power over me. Amen.
