Praise Him for His mighty deeds; Praise Him according to the abundance of His greatness.

Psalm 150:2, LSB

Praise God at all times! This is what our Lord desires and truly what He deserves. He has brought us salvation and hope. He has given us abundant life and hope. Through His Son, Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for our sake, let our hearts sing out with the joy of Him and His glory! We mustn’t be fearful of the things of the world and the events that occur and will occur, for we know to whom we belong and the fleeting nature of this world. In our fallen world, we can feel overwhelmed with crisis after crisis. We hear of storms and natural disasters, war and threats of war, chaos in communities, and tragedies abound, but God is still in control and will restore all things in His time. Our calling is to praise and to proclaim His promises so all may come to know Him and sing His praises. Our prayer is that none should be left, and His promise is ever before those who belong to Him. Praise Him and know His peace.

Let us pray. I thank you, my heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ, your dear Son, that you have kept me this night from all harm and danger, and I ask you to protect me this day also from sin and every evil, that in all I do today, I may please you. For into your hands, I commend myself, my body and soul, and all that is mine. Let your holy angel watch over me, that the wicked foe have no power over me. Amen.
