In that day you shall say: Praise the LORD, call upon His name, declare His deeds among the peoples, make them remember that His name is exalted.

Christ has come, and that day has arrived for us all who know our Lord and Savior. Proclaim His name and His deeds so others, too, may come and know His promises and live in His hope. There was a time when our Lord’s glory was not fully known to the world. The children of Israel failed to proclaim His promises and His glory, became caught up in the “to-dos” of faith, and failed to see all that our Lord had done. In Christ, we have the fullness of this revealed, yet there are still those who fail to see. This is the purpose of our proclamation: to let those who walk in darkness enter into our Lord’s light. We all can live in the fulfillment of Isaiah’s prophecy and walk in the certain hope of Christ as we remember the exalted name of our Lord and the sacrifice He made for us. Our Lord God has kept all of His promises, and we can expect Him to continue to do so as we turn to Him and sing His praises. Let us all glory in His presence and know His peace.

Let us pray. I thank you, my heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ, your dear Son, that you have kept me this night from all harm and danger, and I ask you to protect me this day also from sin and every evil, that in all I do today, I may please you. For into your hands, I commend myself, my body and soul, and all that is mine. Let your holy angel watch over me, that the wicked foe have no power over me. Amen.
