Ephesians 1:7–10

If you'd like to watch on Rumble click here or on YouTube click here!

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our transgressions, according to the riches of His grace which He caused to abound to us in all wisdom and insight, making known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Him for an administration of the fullness of the times, that is, the summing up of all things in Christ, things in the heavens and things on the earth in Him.

Ephesians 1:7–10, LSB

God has a plan for each of us. As His chosen, we have been given forgiveness not so we may feel justified in ourselves but in Him. It is His action for our sake, and it is for Him we are called to live out the redemption we have received so we may proclaim His glory to others. Through our transformed lives, others may come to know Him and His glory. This was not done by happenstance. God is not surprised by sin. In the sadness of His heart, He prepared the path to bring us into His wholeness and gave fully of Himself when He not only entered Creation through His Son, Jesus Christ, and was crucified for us. It was done to fulfill all that was necessary for the redemption of all humanity. Our call is to proclaim it. We are meant to infiltrate all corners of sin and darkness with His glorious light. We are His warriors marching on our knees in prayer and seeking to spread His hope to all who will hear. We are called to stand against the rebellion raised so long ago in the Garden against our Lord by showing Christ’s eternal love to all humanity through all He endured for us. His call is for us to resist temptations before us and bring others to know His enduring love and peace.

Let us pray. I thank you, my heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ, your dear Son, that you have kept me this night from all harm and danger, and I ask you to protect me this day also from sin and every evil, that in all I do today, I may please you. For into your hands, I commend myself, my body and soul, and all that is mine. Let your holy angel watch over me, that the wicked foe have no power over me. Amen.
