But as it is written, “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor has it entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
1 Corinthians 2:9, MEV
Are you ready for an adventure? This is what God gives for all of us who believe. From the moment He claims us, He calls us into the adventure of our faith as He seeks to lead us to people who need to know Him. It can be an exciting journey, but we an also become bogged down in our own fears and uncertainties which can cause us to stop in our journey. This does not stop God from calling us, but it establishes limitations not given by God. When we face struggles in our Christian faith, we are faced with a choice – to trust God will help us through it or to take the reigns and find a solution ourselves. We see this happen throughout the Old Testament as God’s people do things without first consulting God and find themselves caught up in things they can’t find a way out of and they cry out to God for His help. God wants us not to just believe in His existence, but trust in His providence and show others what He can do through us. Jesus died for us on the Cross so we would be set free from bondage, trust Him to lead you through the narrow paths that lead us into the Kingdom and know His peace.
Let us pray. I thank you, my heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ, your dear Son, that you have kept me this night from all harm and danger, and I ask you to protect me this day also from sin and every evil, that in all I do today, I may please you. For into your hands, I commend myself, my body and soul, and all that is mine. Let your holy angel watch over me, that the wicked foe have no power over me. Amen.
